Since our founding, Boothbay Region Land Trust has always placed a high priority on providing public access to our owned properties. As the region gets more developed and parcels become smaller, wildlife habitat and traditional access to the forest and shoreline are being restricted.

We understand the value and importance of preserving wildlands and strive to balance that priority with the need to facilitate hiking trails, waterfront access and public open space.

We currently manage 26 public preserves with over 35 miles of trails and two working-waterfront wharfs.
