Where: BRLT’s Oak Point Farm, 60 Samoset Road (Near Oak Point Road), Boothbay Harbor
Join us under a tent at Oak Point farm for this potluck-style event:

Attendees are asked to bring: Side Dish or Dessert to share
Enjoy a history talk of Oak Point Farm by local historian, Chip Griffin, followed by a short business meeting.
New board member nominee (3-year term): Valerie Young
Valerie Young has worked the last five years in administration at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, with previous events and marketing experience at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. She moved to Wiscasset in 2016 after spending 15 years in the Boothbay Region, with a two-year hiatus spent in the tropical Kingdom of Tonga as a Peace Corps volunteer. She is currently the Advocacy Chair of the Maine Peace Corps Association, and she has served as a Boothbay Harbor Selectman, a founding Board member of the Boothbay Region Health & Wellness Foundation, and as a volunteer at various local events. She also convenes an alliance of 40+ nonprofit organizations dubbed Boothbay Treasures, which works to raise general awareness of NPOs in the region, particularly around the philanthropic holiday of Giving Tuesday. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Tabor, and their two-year old son, Conrad and is looking forward to getting out on the trails this fall with them!
