Directions to Appalachee Preserve:
(Please do not park along Abenaki Rd or Lobster Cove Road at the end of the Indian Trail. Parking is at the entrance to Lobster Cove Meadow Preserve or in the Barrett Park parking lot.) From the junction of Routes 27 and 96 in Boothbay Harbor, at the traffic light, take 96 and proceed about 0.3 mile to Eastern Avenue. Turn right on Eastern Avenue and in less than 0.1 mile you will see parking and a BRLT kiosk on your left. From the parking area follow the trail signs to the BRLT property. Please stay on the trail and respect the privacy of the abutting home owners. Follow the Lobster Cove Meadow white trail 0.75 miles to its end, then bear left and take the bridge across Meadow Cove Creek and follow the historic Indian Trail 0.5 miles to the Appalachee Preserve white-blazed loop trail (1.0 mile loop).
